Ajemian Design Studio was founded in 2005 by Erik Ajemian with express vision that architecture should not only be creative but accessible as well as practical. Erik’s experience working on high profile projects all over the globe has taught him invaluable lessons that he brings to his own firm. With a concentration on design, the firm offers flexible and sustainable design that seeks to open new ways of seeing and experiencing architecture and practices that follow the developed core principles:

• There is always an opportunity for creativity – a well designed space will not only improve the aesthetics of a space, but also the quality of life of the occupant.
• Great design is not necessarily expensive – materials should be used to improve the quality of the space, but do do not in themselves make the space.
• The interests of clients come first – working within the budget and schedule must be built into the process in order for the project to be successful in the end.

Additionally, as a boutique office, the firm offers maximum attention to each client and their specific needs, which are often exaggerated by New York City building conditions. While still efficiently and successfully obtaining necessary approval from Building Boards as well as City and district permits (Dept. of Building and Landmark Boards).

The studio is located in New York City’s Gallery District; West Chelsea at 512 West 26th St #612.
