Blackburn Architects, P.C. was established in 1983 as Smith Blackburn Stauffer Architects to provide full-service architectural design and planning services for our equestrian, residential, and conversion clients. We are a small firm based in Washington, DC, with a satellite office in San Francisco to better serve our West Coast clients.
Our primary goal is to serve our clients with our proven talent and professional skills. We continue to distinguish ourselves as a design-oriented firm and deeply believe that our clients’ needs, budget limitations, and site concerns must be balanced with our experience and intrinsic knowledge of the building.
Since its inception, Blackburn Architects has developed a reputation for delivering precisely this balance to our clients. We are proud of our repeat business as well as referrals from satisfied clients. Though we consistently expand our work, we never lose sight of past clientele.
We strive to be creative in our design philosophy as we produce architecture that is both aesthetically pleasing and respectful to its environment.
