After more than a decade of work experience in Europe and New York, Suzana Bellettiere founded Section F Design LLC in 2004, located on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, NYC. John Bellettiere was her business partner in the period between 2005 until 2016. Since 2016 Suzana alone has been leading a dynamic team of young architects and architectural interns.
Section F Design has completed a wide range of residential and commercial projects in the US and Europe. Notable projects include the conversion of a 38,000 square foot institutional building to luxury condominiums in New York City's east side, the restoration of a 6,000 square foot historic industrial building for commercial spaces in Pasadena, California and the complete reconstruction and enlargement of a single story ranch house with a second story swimming pool in the Hamptons, on Long Island, New York.
Having lived and worked in the United States and Europe, Suzana and her team resolve program requirements and generate design reflecting a hybrid of cultural influences; "we strive to channel our wide ranging experience and varied backgrounds into each new project in search of fresh, unique solutions."
Projects vary in scope and scale, from residential to commercial uses, from large building conversions to small interior renovations.
Mutually established objectives and design intentions are defined with the client at the inception of all projects. Detailed site analysis, careful consideration of the influence of light, massing of form and flow of space then systematically inform the design. Simple but rich, restrained and refined, modest yet proud are qualities inherent in all SFD projects.
"Success in our work is a multi-faceted goal measured in the degree to which budget, programmatic, aesthetic and schedule requirements are each attained."
Section F Design is acknowledged by clients and builders alike for deep commitment during all project phases to ensure that success.
