Build Out Alliance, a 501(c)(3) organization serving the LGBTQ community in the building design and construction industries, invites you to our Career Counseling Day. In partnership with Bespoke Careers, we invite current students, recent graduates, and young professionals to join us for a day of resume and portfolio review, mock interviews, and a chance to speak to and network with professionals from the architecture, engineering, and construction industries.

Who
Current students, recent graduates, and young professionals are welcome! 

What
The day will begin with a presentation and panel discussion led by Human Resources professionals from leading AEC firms, with a focus on how to prepare effective and compelling interview materials, such as resumes and portfolios. Examples will be provided to help avoid many common pitfalls and address any questions. Lunch will be provided and, following this, attendees will be broken into smaller groups to focus on resume and portfolio review, and mock interview sessions. Please bring four (4) copies of your current resume and a good attitude. For architecture students, please also bring your portfolio and a selected project to discuss during your mock interview. If your portfolio is digital, please also bring a tablet.
