About

Hi.
I’m Fabiana.
Similar to yourself I also live in the World of Design.
For me Interior Design is...

Everything.  It is not just a profession. It is  something I have been passionate about for as long as I can remember. I am truly in love with designing  interior spaces. Although a tedious task, I find that mixing  together  all of the ingredients into  the pot of interior design until the recipe is just  right is a beautiful process.

By process I mean basic problem solving. Being a good designer to me means being able to follow  the basic steps of problem solving; Identifying the Problem,  Defining the Problem, Formulating a Strategy, Organizing Information, Allocating  Resources, Monitoring Progress, and lastly Evaluating the Results.

I am  a recent graduate of University of New Haven with a BA  in  Interior Design. Through the various jobs I have held, I have developed experience in the field of sales, communication, and
organization. I am currently employed at Outback Steakhouse as a waitress/bartender. Serving has given me the ability to be aware/take care of  the needs of guest which is an important skill in the field of design. I feel that I have the knowledge and experience, due to extensive coursework, as well as the personality traits and passion necessary  to be an asset to any successful firm.

Baron design inc, manhattan,NY, Intern

In addition to the shadowing and observing I did while interning at Baron Design Inc. I was engaged in a multitude of task and roles. Although Jonathan had me focus on his main goal for me, the marketing assistant. As the marketing assistant my goal was to reach out to prospective future clients by means of business call’s, email’s, and mailing out brochures in the hopes of gaining a lead. I also had to put my graphic design skills to the test to create marketable products using his logo.
When I wasn't doing anything pertaining to marketing I felt that the majority of work I did was secretarial; answering phones, taking efficient messages, organizing files, and cleaning office equipment.
