August 18, 2011, Louisville, KY – In honor of its LEED Platinum certification earlier this year by the U.S.Green Building Council (USGBC), The Green Building of Louisville, KY will host an official plaque ceremony and exhibition reception for the public on Friday, September 2, 2011.
Presented by the Kentucky Chapter of the USGBC and Green Building owners, Gill and Augusta Holland, the this event will feature local dignitaries and speakers, as well as green building activists.
Following the plaque ceremony, the celebration will move into The Green Building Gallery for the opening reception of the Form, Environment, Research exhibit, a pictorial display of sustainable design and its collaborative process. Form, Environment, Research, presented by The Green Building architecture firm of the same name, will illustrate the three-year development of The Green Building as well as other sustainable projects across the country. The exhibition will continue to be on display for the IdeaFestival September 21-24th, and will be available for viewing through October 21st, 2011.
