I am a 29-year-old architect, currently living in the San Francisco Bay Area, California.

Between 2005 and 2010, I studied architecture at the Architecture and Urbanism College of São Paulo University (FAUUSP), considered Brazil’s most important architecture college. My degree design thesis, “From Portraits of the City to Urban Intervention: Landscape and Heritage in Bariri (SP)”, was given the top grade by the board of examiners and I was appointed  to represent de college in the Opera Prima Prize, which gathers the best final projects of the whole country. Because of this project I was invited to give lectures for undergraduate students at FAUUSP, as well as Mackenzie University and FMU - United Metropolitan Colleges. It was also presented by my tutor, Luís Antônio Jorge, at Yokohama University, in Japan, as a good example of project that discusses the relationship between architecture and city.

From 2008 to 2015 I worked for Brasil Arquitetura Studio, one of the most recognized and award winning Brazilian offices. I was an intern until I got my Bachelor’s degree in 2010, when I joined the team as an architect. In 2012 I became an associate architect of the company. At Brasil Arquitetura I have had the opportunity to work on projects of different scales (exhibitions, houses, institutional buildings, public squares and urban plans) and in different phases (conceptual studies, executive projects and construction monitoring). I have coordinated teams of architects, interns and engineers in projects I share the authorship with the office head partners: Francisco Fanucci e Marcelo Ferraz.

In 2015 I moved to California to do my post-professional Masters in Advanced Architectural Design at California College of the Arts, with a concentration in Urbanism, Landscape and Ecology. My Studio project for the Fall semester, a proposal for addressing the housing crisis in San Francisco by the increase of lateral density, was presented in a symposium held by CCA and Yale University. My Jury Prize awarded Studio project for the Spring semester is a urban design and research  project at the Sacramento and San Joaquin Delta which explores how architectural form can promote economic, social, environmental, and political equity by integrating urbanization with water management at multiple scales.
