Considering the conflicting attitudes between human intervention in the built environment and general understanding of the wilderness which seems to center on creating “natural habitats” in urban environments, this Ecological Practices Studio researches strategies for incorporating diverse habitats into the spatial and built environment by considering buildings, urban structures, and infrastructure as  opportunities for design and appropriation, to enable co-species habitation at multiple scales.
