is a project that challenges 20 architects from around the world to design villas along the Northeast Coast National Scenic Area in Taiwan. A little over a week ago the designs were unveiled in a ceremony in Taipei, attended by all the architects, developers and project organizers. Now they are available online, here, with more detailed presentations scheduled for the official exhibition at the International Exhibition of Architecture at the Venice Biennale, September 14 - November 23.

i'm totally drooling all over my keyboard. some of these are delicious.
Kengo Kuma's roof is fantastic
My favs are Twirl House and Ridge House, because of the way they interact and inject themselves into the landscape.
first ordos, now this???
i dont know if i am more disgusted by the video or the designs them self.
talk about every architectural cliche from the last ten years on display...
and this with good, well-respected architects! you'd think they'd have been able to come up with something new!
sometimes you got to eat... rice
