The project was to create a cultural centre for the people of Campeche, which can also serve as a refuge in case of a natural disaster. This was a collaboration with students of the University of Newcastle in Australia.

The concept was based on the courtyards that are found in many buildings across Mexico. 

Sustainability was a key element in this project, so the orientation of the project was based on the sea’s breeze, as well as the sun.
