About

Graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design, an Architect and Designer with 7+ years of experience in the high-end residential, hospitality, retail, workplace, and institutional sectors, with competency in all phases of projects, right from schematic design, to bidding, construction drawings, filing, and construction administration.

Over the past 5+ years in the US, I have worked San Francisco and previously in New York City, worked on multiple projects ranging from the adaptation of historic landmark buildings, retrofits of high-end restaurants, and design of retail outlets while gaining knowledge of code compliance.

My design approach is translating spaces into meaningful, narrative-based experiences while exploring the transition between time and materials. I firmly believe in promoting the benefits of restoration and adaptive reuse of existing infrastructure for a sustainable built environment.

Education

RISD INTAR Department of Interior Architecture, Providence, RI, US, Masters, Interior Architecture

A post-professional, one-year intensive Master's program on Interior Architecture and Adaptive Reuse. Studio design projects and theory focussed on interventions and adaptive reuse of existing structures as a sustainable design field to explore. At the intersection of architecture, conservation, and design, an innovative approach was implemented towards the reuse and transformation of existing buildings in its ability to connect heritage structures and design. The investigation was not just limited to structures and spaces but also to installations and exhibitions with the topic of Interiority as a center. Apart from Interior Architecture, RISD being a liberal arts school gave me an opportunity to choose electives from departments like graphic design, furniture, and glass which fascinated me by learning from professional artists and designers and building skills.
