- Comprehensive involvement in all aspects of design-bid-build project delivery from site evaluation to post-occupancy on a variety of developments including multi-unit residential, retail, financial, office and educational
- Serve as project manager on all size developments up to $85 million construction cost for a 30-story residential tower
- Complete all construction and bidding documents and achieve accurate contractor understanding of project
- Coordinate with all design consultants for their scope of work and ensure that project schedule is maintained
- Perform building and zoning code analyses for City of Chicago and other municipalities and ensure compliance; meet with building department officials to resolve code review comments
- Represent architect at regular job-site meetings with client and contractor and resolve design and construction issues
- Respond to all requests for information from contractors; review submittals for all portions of the work for compliance with design intent
- Review general contractor applications for payment for conformance to the progress of the work; evaluate change orders regarding additional scope
- Identify out-of-scope services for purpose of accurate project accounting
- Supervise junior staff and effectively develop and communicate objectives so that intended results are accomplished
- Served as firm liaison to building product representatives; managed incoming material and incorporated into office library and also arranged biweekly continuing education lunch seminars
