My name is Eric Harrison, I’m a 26 year old Urban Design and Planning professional from Perth, Western Australia. I'm currently living in NYC searching for opportunities in Urban Design and Planning.
I hold a Bachelor degree in Urban Planning where I received a Distinction for my Honours Thesis measuring core Urban Design principles. After my Bachelor degree I completed a postgraduate Diploma in Urban Design, during which I received a high distinction and was employed by the University to contribute in various design competitions for the public realm. Since completing my studies, I have been employed as a Strategic Planner & Urban Designer at the Local City Government Authority of Bunbury in Western Australia. During this time I was involved in various public realm enhancement initiatives, conducted rigorous research and analysis of Bunbury’s urban form. I have enjoyed working on a variety of projects ranging from strategic planning policy to street activation initiatives as well as managed complex GIS data sets. Teamwork and collaboration is an integral part of urban design and I have developed those skills through facilitating workshops, engaging with community and inter-disciplinary project groups.
