A recent addition to my firm's portfolio - 1406 Ocean Parkway, Brooklyn NY 11234. ( Corner of N and Ocean Parkway)

This project is considered a Luxury - Multifamily development housing 16 Apartments of various sizes. An unusual project of its kind for this section of Ocean Parkway.

EranArc Pllc was scoped to design the " Left side" of the development as the Right side ( 1606 Ocean Parkway) is now under construction.

The selection of materials for the envelope was driven by the existing conditions of 1606 and acts as a natural extension of that structure.

For us, this Building Marks the 3rd sizable project in South Brooklyn in an attempt to promote diversity, openness and quality housing.

Some History: Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux (who were also responsible for Central Park, Prospect Park, and Eastern Parkway) suggested Ocean Parkway to Brooklyn park commissioners in reports prepared during the 1860s. They drew up a plan for the parkway, inspired by boulevards in Berlin and Paris (such as the present Avenue Foch). In 1868 the land was acquired by the City of Brooklyn; work began in 1874 and was completed in 1880.
