Enviro Tec is a multidisciplinary Architectural design practice founded by Chew Tai Eng and Mun Chaing Lu. It was one of modern Singapore’s pioneering Architectural Firms, helping to forge the shape of the metropolis after independence.
The new millennium brought a new era for Enviro Tec with the addition of Chew’s daughter Ming Zhou (an architecture graduate who studied in Australia) at the Jakarta office in 2005. Building on Enviro Tec’s strong foothold in Indonesia, the dynamic ‘father-daughter’ duo has transformed the firm into a multidisciplinary architectural design practice focusing on crafting projects through services in spatial branding, feasibility studies, master planning, interior architecture, and architecture.
Currently fully based in Jakarta, Indonesia, the firm has a team of 25 architects, interior designers and graphic designers. A strong belief is the integration of engaging a full architecture, interior design and landscape concept through contextual studies of site specificities and quality planning.
The firm’s diversified portfolio includes public buildings, resorts, hotels, high-rise luxury apartments, commercial buildings, private residences, spanning over internationally in countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and China.
Some of the distinguished projects include the International Convention Hall in Jakarta, Indonesia and ‘Sahid Kuta Lifestyle Resort - Beachwalk Bali’ a mixed development consisting of Sheraton Kuta Bali Resort and a lifestyle mall. It has been recently shortlisted in the prestigious International INSIDE Awards as part of the World Architecture Festival (WAF).
