My name is Elena Fernandez and I am a spainsh architect based in Panama City, Republic of
Panama. As a senior architect my role is to lead our design team efforts in high-end residential,
commercial and interior design projects at Edward McGrath & Associates (EMA). I have
decided to further my career and expand my personal knowledge, Miami is currently in an
important architectural growth and can offer great opportunities in architectural design.
In addition to my experience in Panama, I was part of the façades design team at ARUP UK
(London) in 2011, developing projects such as the Apple Campus in Cupertino, San Francisco,
or the Bacardi-Bombay Sapphire GlassHouse in UK. I also worked for the spanish office LFV
Architects as a Design Architect in 2012. I have been working concurrently as a teaching
assistant in Architectural Design and I have also participated in several international competitions,
being awarded one (Lamp Light Solutions).
My three passions include architectural design, editorial design and photography, and within
the fusion and love for these three artistic, yet scientific areas, my work expresses a very
personal vision, complemented by strong sensitivity and dynamism, among with my international
background.
My vision is to bring Spanish high-end quality work for a human scale and new personal,
sustainable solutions to a fast growing country, working with extreme sensibility, ethic, detail
and respect for contextual elements, collective memory and identity.
