About 

Eiman Mohamed is a student pursuing her Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design and Master of Architectural Studies (Pedagogy) at Washington University in St. Louis at the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts. She attained her Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2022 from the American University of Sharjah with a minor in Design Management. Eiman’s interests include oil painting, photography, reading and writing, and art history. Architectural research is where she shines the most. She is particularly interested in exploring the effects of systemic discrimination supported by institutional policies in the architecture of healthcare facilities.

Her most notable achievements include being awarded the McDonnell Fellowship to complete her graduate studies which recognize outstanding academic achievement and commitment to learning about global issues and leadership. Additionally, during her undergraduate studies, she was the recipient of the Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation for Education scholarship, the largest and first Arab world merit scholarship that provides merit scholarship support to 648 scholars from 17 Arab countries. Lastly, she worked with the sustainability department at her undergraduate alma mater, the American University of Sharjah, to become the Gulf region’s first university to remove single-use plastics across its campus, with all campus vendors banned from providing petroleum-based single-use items.
