Fuller Seminary - Quad space

This is a project I worked on from installation to completion. Taking an empty lot that was in the far future needed for a building space to provide usable space for students as a temporary garden. EPT Design worked on the design for the site and ValleyCrest provided the bid to develop and install the design. I met with the client and priced out the design to win the bid and develop a very usable space.

The space was designed to be entirely Californian native plant material to match the existing plant design for the newly constructed library. A majority of the plant material was also edible and available to students across the campus. Decomposed granite is a main portion of the landscape to be used for minor events on campus and a bio-swale was incorporated for the rain runoff.

The site was installed in 2011 and already their is much growth and a lot of heavy traffic by the students who some to relax, meet and take in the small piece of california native landscape.
