Returned to Baskervill the following summer: This time I began to take on more responsibility by expanding my software capabilities and utilizing my previous experience.
Activities included: everything from the previous summer as well as - building a project file from scratch in Revit, revising construction documents in Revit, modifying/crafting presentations for client meetings with the Adobe Suite, and coordinating a collective project with other interns.
Baskervill, Richmond, VA, US, Architecture Intern
First internship at Baskervill based in Richmond: Here I developed commercial projects in various phases - most time was spent on preparing a schematic design proposal for two community centers in Richmond.
Activities included: physical modeling, rendering in Enscape, iterative concept modeling done in Rhino, meetings (with coworkers, supervisors, and clients), and site visits.
University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Bachelors, Architecture
I completed four years of intense work at the UVA School of Architecture, participating in 7 unique studio courses (including a thesis semester and studio abroad in Venice, Italy). I also took several other architecture related classes that delved into structural matters, materials, tectonics, history, and more. Through these classes, and especially the studio courses, I shaped my creative process - and more importantly learned how to apply it to a variety of project types.
