I was raised by parents who instilled a deep appreciation for art and nature early in my childhood. Family vacations were spent traveling to museums, touring in Europe, or camping in the wilderness of Maine. The experience formed my passions and values. It is the balance of art and science, the creative and the pragmatic, the beauty and the function, that is the essence of architecture and nature. This is what intrigues me about the profession and our world.
