The Dillon

The Dillon Supply project is emblematic of a modern urban spirit driving workplace developments across the country. Located in Raleigh’s warehouse district, the contemporary tower is an eclectic composition of small architectural elements, differing scales, contrasting materials and warm colors. The building’s overall massing is punctuated by a monumental ‘sky window’ centered on its sloped façade. The multiplicity and idiosyncrasy of the architecture evoke the historic character of the unique urban context and holistically merge monumentality with human scale.

The design also focuses on the street level experience by embracing the sidewalk and utilizing a historic warehouse wall to create a ‘pocket park’ at the corner facing Raleigh’s new Union Station. It includes a retail base, structured parking and an office tower with an elevated, public terrace lobby. Other amenities include fitness, restaurants and event spaces. Dillon Supply presents an alternative to a singular, monolithic tower form and reflects the diversity of its neighborhood context.
