The project scope of work included weight/fitness and cardiovascular spaces; a 220 seat multi-purpose room and gymnasium. We collaborated with Division of State Architect from early design stages to ensure that the revised master plan siting of the new Gymnasium, Multi-purpose and Wellness Center buildings did not trigger any unforeseen code issues. The project delivery system was lease-leaseback (LLB) which promoted an integrated project delivery.
The furniture and equipment design and purchase package were also included within the project budget. LLB contingencies were used to provide additional features including a new building pad for the corporation yard, additional gym equipment and increased commissioning of the existing buildings on campus. The integrated team was able to phase the project while working around class schedules during active terms and slower summer terms.
