With a series of projects along Sixth street, East of Downtown Los Angeles, Para Los Niños renewed a 35-year commitment to providing stability and opportunity to children and families near Los Angeles’ Skid Row. A block of former warehouses is transformed with boldly colored and scaled signage, a re-imagined preschool facility incorporating unexpected shapes and abundant daylight and a family center incorporating a soothing color palette to create a supportive setting.
These linked projects on Sixth Street are a powerful reinvestment in the neighborhood, demonstrating the promise to provide critically needed services – and beauty – to an underserved population.
