An architectural professional with 5 years of combined experience and soon-to-be recipient of a Masters Degree in Design Management from Pratt Institute. My professional and education experiences thus far have fostered my growth as a strategic leader with demonstrated ability in clear articulation, critical and systems thinking, and holistic cost benefit analysis among many other hard and soft skills specific to the architecture industry.

My interest in design began with a fascination with people and culture. Good design ultimately serves as a frame for human activity and, thus, should be thoughtfully (and beautifully) crafted to suit the specific program it serves; detailed and finished to represent the programmatic, cultural and aesthetic needs of the client; all while elegantly disappearing as the inhabitants focus on the activities housed within.

I am very excited for the opportunity to add value to a new company through my fascination with designing for humanity, previous experiences successfully working on teams, leading teams, and working independently, and ability to communicate complex, abstract ideas through practical, direct language.

First permanent member of small team. Independently document and manage up to 12 projects simultaneously, primarily Multifamily Restoration in NYC. Maintain frequent communication with Clients, Consultants, Contractors, and City Agencies as required to move the project forward. Role requires a great ability to multitask and prioritize as responsibilities include excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail for construction documentation and detailing, scheduling and time management, and overall alignment with company and team goals.

Pratt Institute, New York, NY, US, Masters, Design Management

A program that surrounds the Design of Business and the Business of Design. Throughout the duration, classes are structured as exercises in the application of Strategic Design as we are presented with information on various facets of enterprise; Strategic Technology, Management Communications, Marketing/Advertising, Decision-Making, etc., and then tasked with a problem to solve as a team of 4 or 5.

Currently, I am undertaking the Year-Long Capstone Inquiry in which our team is asking: In what ways can we develop Modern Rites of Passage that supports the personal development of young people to be resilient in the face of an uncertain future? This inquiry combines research into Strategic Design, Philosophical Theory, Cultural/Anthropological Literature, and Existing Social Support and Infrastructure, and is the intersection of many of my personal interests as well as those of my team members.
