About

I am a recent graduate of Iowa State University with a BArch (cum laude).

While working on my degree, I studied abroad at IE University in Segovia, Spain, and completed the Spring Semester Program at Architectural Association in London. In addition, I participated in the 2016 Venice Biennale workshop, in Venice, with a team of students from ISU. I am published in DATUM NO.8, Iowa State's architectural journal, held a leadership position in AIAS for one year as the fundraising chair, and provided mentorship to first-year students at the College of Design during their CORE studies as they developed projects which they would use to build a portfolio for application into their desired program.

I graduate with three summers of professional experience in the field. I've worked for a Thomas Dostal Developers, under Randy Dostal, a general contractor in Cedar Rapids, gaining unique experience working with city planning and zoning administration. I completed a project for the chair of our department, Deboarah Hauptmann, designing and drawing construction documents for custom steel guardrails and gates that were installed in her private residence. Before my senior year, I completed an internship at Cuningham Group's Denver office. There, I worked on a variety of projects ranging from a 6 story apartment complex in the Highland district, to an extension for a PK-8 school in Erie, to firm-wide sustainability assessments and per project graphics.

I have professional experience working in Revit. I am an expert with Rhinoceros 5 and 6, specializing in complex freeform modeling, digital fabrication and scene creation for rendering. I am an expert with Maxwell Render, Vray for Rhino, and Photoshop, am proficient with InDesign and have working knowledge of Illustrator.
