David Romero-Uzeda graduated as an architect in San José (Costa Rica) at Universidad del Diseño. In 2000 he moved to San Diego (USA) for an internship with Safdie Rabines Architects. He was involved in several projects as Eleanor Roosevelt College (UCSD) in la Jolla, CA, USA, amongst others. In 2006 he moved to Paris to work in the photography agency Agence VU’/Groupe Abvent as a graphic designer. In 2008 he joined Wilmotte & Associés where he worked in a variety of projects including business centre in Kiev, several mixed-use housing projects and most importantly on the renovation of the Palais des Festivals in Cannes (6000m2). In 2011 he moved to Strasbourg, joining the internationally known architecture office Dominique Coulon & Associés. There working in such public projects as music schools, kindergardens, sports halls, schools, nursing homes and universities. He was in charge of the Passivhaus new kindergarten in Buhl (France), this from competition to final delivery, gaining precious experience on local construction procedures. Other complementary missions include Architecture Photography, Film-making, Press Network Relationships, Community Management, setting up the office new graphic chart, Editorial projects, among others. Building a strong and successful Press & Communications Department, including the development of a press and communication strategy, managing and developing relationships to journalists worldwide and organizing press openings and events. As a Designer, he has solid proven architectural sensibility, skillfull graphic and tri-dimentional qualities. He has lectured about « Public Architecture » on the Universidad Hispanoamericana (Costa Rica), about « Participative Architecture » on the InSitu Lab Le Corbusier, DSAA, Illkirch-Graffenstaden (France). He has been invited several times as a Jury Member of the Strasbourg Architecture School (ENSAS), « Architecture et Complexité » unit leaded by Dominique Coulon and Simon Frommenwiller.
