As a recent graduate from Syracuse University’s Bachelor of Architecture program, I am motivated and enthused to continue my professional career. Having completed multiple relevant internships starting my first year of architecture school, I am comfortable and productive in a collaborative workplace environment. Three distinct summer work experiences have given me a well-rounded knowledge of project development. During my time with URS Corporation and Gant Brunnett Architects in Baltimore, I gained technical knowledge working on design and construction drawings, as well as understanding of industry specifics such as budgeting, value engineering, client and contractor relations. Finally, a summer with Cemex Research Group in Biel gave my classmate and me the unique opportunity to develop our own design concepts with a high level of freedom. The process of creating a concrete prototype expanded my cognizance of construction methods, material tolerance and precision. As is crucial in the field of architecture, I am passionate about my work. My five years at Syracuse University have refined my thought processes, problem-solving and design skills, and prepared me to work on significant architectural projects with confidence. I am conscious of the environmental, social and cultural responsibilities involved with building, and I am motivated to work towards licensure.
