David Brown is the founder and owner of DBI.  He leads a team of global recruiters focused on the Architecture and Interior Design industry. 

David joined his passions for design, recruiting, and entrepreneurship in 2009 when he founded DBI.  With a phone, his computer, and a global network, he started the firm in his basement.  Prior to founding DBI, David worked as lead recruiter for Architecture and Interior Design at Callison Architecture and then Starbucks Coffee. What he learned during those 10 years prior to 2009 is that recruiting talent for the build environment cannot be automated, computerized or algorithmic. That executive search is not resume sales.  He learned that it takes a personal touch at every point of the process. 

This was David’s vision when he started the firm in 2009 and still is to this day.  It is what sets DBI apart from other firms around the globe.  David believes in being a Passionate Advocate, Strategic Resource and Trusted Partner to all those he works with.  This belief informs his approach to his day to day role as Managing Partner of DBI.
