Front entry plantings and expansion of an existing patio to create multiple terraces for outdoor dining, grilling, gathering and lounging. These terraces offer an easy transition from the home's interior, extending the living space beyond the roof line. Salvaged bluestone pavers and wall caps were incorporated into the design as well as thin fieldstone to form the seating walls, outdoor kitchen and firepit. The existing landscape was overgrown with many mature specimens hidden amongst the scrub. Selective removals and transplants were incorporated into the new planting beds as well as to supplement the property line screening.
