Having proceeded into the design field eight years ago, I have worked on a wide range of projects in different scales, from interventions to residential development projects. I am always interested in the intersection between architecture and branding, and how the clash of both elements creates unique spatial experience to people. Hence, after having my year-out experience completed in a local architecture firm in Hong Kong and graduating from Architecture master course at Newcastle University, I decided to set up a design studio start-up which is under the business incubator program in the university, taking the idea into practice.

TA!LAB Design Ltd, Newcastle upon Tyne, GB, Co-Founder

TA!LAB is a spatial design collaboration between Cynthia Wong and Karl Mok that seeks to explore the intersection between design, space and branding. Having previously worked in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur, the pair have a singular focus to explore imageability in spatial design.

TA!LAB's vision is about creating spaces that tell stories; visual narratives that combine the spectacular with the ordinary. What we do is create designs that skilfully combine the physical with the intangible - physical spaces that are instantly engaging and hold the attention of a generation of social media savvy consumers.
