The University of Texas School of Architecture developed a basic design for a solar-powered house to submit in the 2010 U.S Department of Energy Solar Decathlon competition.
Our team researched different systems and methods to incorporate into the house, including hydroponics,
aquaponics, water hogs, and evacuated tube solar hot water heating. The final proposal included a 1/2” scale model and a triptych detailing the systems and efficiencies of our design.
