My bachelor’s thesis focuses on how architecture can be an agent of change and how modern architecture design techniques may help revive local and traditional knowledge of architecture through a design of an educational facility in Hakha Chin state, Burma. The design for the educational facility took form based on the culture of the place. One of the themes that threads through my whole thesis were an emphasis on how the design of the facility enhances the quality and experience of the interior spaces while maintaining efficient and economical use of energy.
