I am currently a fourth-year architecture student at Roger Williams University, in Bristol, RI. During the spring 2014 semester I studied abroad in Florence, Italy. This experience has enabled me to see and learn about different cultures and architectural styles, which I will be able to incorporate with my own ideas. I am interested in designing modern buildings which respect the many historical sites that exist in our cities and towns. Florence is a city that deals with this challenge (opportunity) quite often, and was the perfect setting to learn about more ways to respond to these contexts. I look forward to gaining experience in the architectural world through an internship.
