I graduated from Temple University’s Architecture program. My projects in studio often included finding design opportunities within existing regulatory conditions and fitting complex programs into existing structures. In addition to that work, I was Treasurer and Project manager for our student organization Freedom by Design. In that role I gained experience in budgeting, fundraising, construction and project management. I learned how to be flexible as contractors, suppliers and our client responded to the work as it developed.
More recently I have been working with the Community Design Collaborative, helping them review projects for community organizations, attending workshops and working with a team to complete a conceptual design plan for business storefronts along 54th Street in West Philadelphia. I have also been attending Design Advocacy Group meetings to stay updated on new projects and market conditions in Philadelphia. Currently I’m looking to apply my experience gained through Philadelphia’s wonderful design organizations to a professional environment.
