Associate Dean for Research and architecture professor Gregory Luhan will receive a 2012 Honor Award for Achievement of Excellence in Architectural Design from the Kentucky Society of Architects. The award is the highest professional honor bestowed upon a Kentucky architect by his or her peers. The award program recognizes and applauds works of architecture exhibiting design excellence, as well as promoting public awareness and appreciation of the diversity, quality and scope of Kentucky architecture. The award ceremony will take place at the annual AIA-KY Convention in Lexington.
Professor Luhan is being honored for his involvement with the s.ky blue house, an 800-square foot solar house designed by University of Kentucky architecture, engineering, and agriculture students.
