Christopher McMahan is a principal design architect focused on clients in higher education, mission-driven organizations, and real estate development. With over twenty-five years experience in New York and New England, he is a past Principal for the New York and Providence offices of Fletcher Thompson Architecture + Engineering.

 

He has provided design leadership on multiple projects, including the New York Institute of Technology at Old Westbury, Courtyard by Marriott at Union Station, the Rhode Island Convention Center alterations, LaSalle Academy Science Building, Community College of Rhode Island’s Knight and Liston campuses, and Brown University’s Program in Public Health.


His experience ranges from the planning, programming, and design of large-scale, mixed-used commercial development sites, to numerous buildings for universities, religious and arts organizations. McMahan translates client goals for program, site, schedule and budget into sustainable design solutions.
