This design plays with the idea of
sliding blocks in order to maximize
floor areas while respecting
setbacks. Both towers have simple
rectangular shapes which cantilever
on the higher floors in order to gain
up to 100sqm in each floor. This
move can only happen on higher
floors due to the strict setback rules
on the site.
The lower three floors are then
expanded on all possible directions
to allow for the commercial
program to be properly allocated.
This gives the whole volume
the appearance of a floating
mass intersecting both towers,
and creates a vibrant shopping
atmosphere from the ground floor
up to the third floor.
