I am very passionate about design and hope to inspire my colleagues and friends. I am inspired by collaboration and believe that these efforts will create holistic environments that challenge expectations. I promise to go above and beyond what is expected and assist in designing environments that positively affect its users.
I grew up in the small, but driven town of Titusville, Florida. A child of two engineers, my parents pushed me to learn what they loved. Although I took part in many rewarding science fairs, I wanted to learn how to design. Little did my parents know that their hobbies would cultivate my passions. My father is a woodworker and spends all his free time creating furniture and trinkets in his wood shop. I love watching his design process from the initial AutoCAD plans to applying the finish coat. My mother is more of an arts and crafter, she loves creating colorful stained glass pieces and would sew anything I could dream of. After attending a 5 week summer high school program for upcoming seniors in 2007 at Savannah College of Art and Design, I knew that I should follow my dreams. SCAD was the perfect place to jump start my career. I attended SCAD in the fall of 2008 and decide to dive into Interior Design. I developed a passion for design at SCAD and learned the impact that designers can have on the user. In design, I believe that collaboration gives us motive to challenge ourselves in order to create a holistic project. This process develops better design thinking and creates a space that positively impacts the clients’ lives.
