The Illinois School of Architecture, Champaign, IL, US, Design Instructor

I was a design instructor for the sophomore studio in an architecture school, teaching a range of design-related skills. During this time, I prioritized the development of concepts and representation at varying scales, diverse ways of thinking and approaches to the design process and the ability of generating, refining and articulating concepts. I guided students in developing skills related to design representation, technical communication, and structural principles. Over the course of six semesters, I led students through analysis mapping exercises, abstract materiality exploration, and the design of spaces for specific programs, such as an art museum expansion and public market.
