This project attempts to connect the South Mountain Village to the Rio Salado. Surrounding development posed the unique challenge of blending the natural with the urban environment.
Amidst extensive rezoning, areas adjacent to the river were maintained as park/recreational use and riparian zones. Portions of the riverbanks were designated for active and passive use. Additional features included a system of pedestrian pathways and a scenic corridor offering views of local landmarks.
