Spider Behaviour

Spider Behaviour is a computational and metabolism architecture project which explores the natural properties of how living organism like spiders behaves. The study looks into the engineering and composition of silk webbing, structural components, and elements of intervention required in the cycle of spatial construction. However, the site is base on the human face, which is one of the most intricate parts of the body that holds many profound features.

The drawing shows the mesh reconstruction of the face. The gradient of black and white arrows represent directions to which the path is pointing downward. Three red areas were our chosen locations.

Filament walls protect individuals from heat but also allow climbing plants to grow, which in turn help trap even more sunlight radiation and allow them to photosynthesis at higher efficiency.
