About

I am Miao Wang, an architecture graduate. Currently, I have finished my master degree in architecture from University of California, Los Angeles. And I have been learning architecture design for 6 years.

From my master program in UCLA and bachelor program in Wuhan University and the University of Dundee, I have trained myself with full-rounded design skills. With all the group projects in my experience, I am confident in communicating, cooperating and bringing inspirations and flashes into teamwork. In addition to my practice in design, I’m proficient with both graphic expression and model making. And I possess the storytelling ability when presenting my design work, which is always combined with concise and strong diagrams. On top of that, I consider myself as a creative person with determination and efficiency, and I can adapt to different situations to show the best part of myself.

As a Chinese student with 2 year aboard study, I am fluent in Mandarin and English. Moreover, the experience in Britain and USA bring me a deep understanding of their culture which will facilitate my future work.

Starting from the concept of fully automated luxury communism, we explored the influence brought by the situation when fully automation replaces human labor. Will that be an opportunity for liberty and leisure, or be a new era for different life style. Developed by that, we addressed more intention about the automated world.

Tuvalu, as a small island centered at Pacific Ocean, has the perfect opportunity to build a super harbor and super factory to serve for every trading across the Ocean. The beneficial point is the decreasing cost in transporting across the Pacific Rim. In this way, architecture will be defined by automation and also build a brand-new atmosphere for machines. To realize the building of machines, we try to find basic rules similar to the rules in normal architecture. According to Le Corbusier, human scale is the measurement too architecture, similarly, in this automated world, machines will become the measurements.
