During my undergraduate studies in China, I was fortunate to gain professional work experience on large commercial complex. One of the major impacts I had on this project evoked from the client’s requests that the floor area ratio should be larger than 10 and they wanted big open spaces on the lower levels. To meet these requirements, I proposed to create two atrium to make an open interior shopping environment . This strategy also reflect to the design of the fire safety, structure cores and circulation strategy for the complex. As a result, clients are satisfied with the project and at the same time, while developing my skills in sketch up, ID and AI, I was also able to play a design role as an intern.
