As Team Leader, my responsibilities encompass the supervision and coordination of a team
through interview meetings with Principals and Custodian Engineers, to obtain information pertinent to each school. I perform a complete visual walk through of each asset
inspecting all interior spaces, exterior elements and the site. This data is then entered into a
prescribed menu on a lap top computer. This information is utilized to produce a baseline
capital improvement plan for the Department of Education’s Division of School Facilities. I am
involved in the on-going training of Associate Architects which commences with each new contract.
This involves the presentation of all training manual guidelines, specifications and methodology to
insure accurate surveys utilizing the menu set forth by the School Construction Authority. As Quality
Assurance Field Associate, I conduct review inspections of Associate Architect’s site assessments.
I was the Architectural Lead for the NYCHA assessment survey in 2011-2012. The requirements
for this position are similar to the BCAS survey which included the supervision of Architectural
inspectors approving site assessment reports and the daily management of the project.
