Chad Alexander Schram is a Licensed Architect in California. He is an alumni of the University of Michigan's Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning where he holds both an M.Arch degree and a Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development. His specialties include residential + interiors, branded architecture, hospitality + kitchen design, and real estate development.
Based in Los Angeles, Schram has worked on everything from concept design to FF&E procurement for operating companies of serviced and furnished apartments, boutique hotels and local design+build residential developers. Previously, Chad worked internationally in India alongside Studio Mumbai and in Auckland, NZ on the Waiwera Thermal Resort, with additional stints in New York at Studio Mapos and MEIS Architects.
Most recently, Chad worked with Cloud Kitchens as a Design Manager on commercial catering facilities. Prior to that he was with Soho House Design where he helped open the West Coast in-house design and development office. There he worked on a range of ground-up and adaptive reuse projects for hotels, restaurants, clubs, gyms and spas. Additionally, he did drafting and project management work for John Sofio of Built Inc on LA and Joshua Tree retail, residential and nightclub projects.
Chad also specializes in branding, graphic design, product and furniture design. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, he loves working in all environments rain and shine.
