As a budding landscape architect, I hope to join with other professionals in order to help mitigate environmental problems a the junction of the built and natural environment. I am highly interested and skilled in stormwater management research, modeling, construction and application.

Career objectives include: being part of an interdisciplinary landscape architecture team, becoming a registered landscape architect, working to green communities and increase personal expertise in urban design.

Sustainability Science Fellowship, Grant

Awarded to conduct research to further understanding of sustainable practices at the junction of built and natural environments. This research asks: How are businesses in Philadelphia reacting to PWD's revised stormwater management fees? Working in conjunction with the US Forest Service and Rutgers University, this research will be used to gain a further understanding of the commercial need for green infrastructure. Survey and interviews will be conducted starting January 2014 in order to correlate trends throughout the stormwater credit system. Local businesses whom have increased their properties' permeability (in order to slow runoff from entering sewers) will be highlighted through the Philadelphia Stormwater Management Blog.

Gerald D. Hines Urban Design Competition, Honorable Mention

Awarded for reconceptualizing master plan for neighborhoods surrounding Vikings Stadium in Minneapolis, MN. Working with a interdisciplinary team o planners and economics students, our entry "Urban Grain" sought to re-introduce native habitat throughout a largely vacant and impermeable neighborhood.
