Lower Don Land Tributaries High-rise

This structure is a part of a larger conceptual proposal for a 7 block community in the Lower Don Lands located in Toronto Canada. The name of my group’s proposal for this community is the Lower Don Land Tributaries. The main concept involves green pedestrian corridors that act as tributaries passing trough the community. This idea was inspired by imagery from a delta as well as the sculpture from the Toronto Brickworks Market. The structure I designed for this community is a mixed-use high-rise that continues the main concept of the community by continuing the green paths vertically. The foliage covered terraces are offset on each floor creating a visual interaction with the main focal points of the surrounding area: The adjacent Film Port, the Great Lakes, and Downtown Toronto.
