About

Thank you for your time in considering my resume for future work or collaboration. Attached you will find my resume showcasing a summary of my background in architecture and design including my education at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and my experience working on design teams at HDR and PS&S. I recently took a hiatus from the architecture discipline to pursue other creative passions, like so many during the pandemic, planning to then narrow my lens toward what would ultimately become my long-term career. I believe, like in design, all of these experiences aligned to forge a stronger, more well-rounded creative professional in me. I have been fortunate in being shaped by an education from Pratt, giving me the design knowledge that furthered my career in design and architecture. While obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Architecture there, I learned about the theoretical foundation behind executing a design solution through the language of architecture. This knowledge helped me as a designer to use appropriate principles and visual skills with the intention of communicating its concepts to others. My work in creativity and communication carried me into my role at HDR where I worked as an intern during college. At that time, I focused mainly on the construction document phase, drafting extensive construction document sets for the restoration of NYC subways. Post-graduation, I found PS&S where I was exposed to even more phases of the design and construction process of mixed-use development projects and multi-family residential.

Most recently I have found a deeper connection with my community here in Yonkers, my home town. After the pandemic deprived me of what I love most, shaping architecture through interacting with stakeholders and other related parties, I decided to re-invest my time back into my community. Now that the world is considered anew, I am prepared to create deeper, more meaningful connections with my community and strengthen our city’s culture, galvanizing it with preservation, thoughtful re-development, and dignified design. I have started this next chapter in the field this past Fall, taking a position on the Landmarks Board of the City of Yonkers. This position has provided me with the opportunity to unite community building, art and design, architecture, and land use law.

I believe my eclectic background will bring a valuable perspective to your team. I am a fast and enthusiastic learner, ready to collaborate and become a leader. It is my goal to continue to learn as much as I can in the architecture field and to pursue my license. I have neverfelt more driven in putting pen to paper in applying these experiences and passions into a full-time career at a firm where I can help bring the company and clients’ vision to life. My team-player values combine motivation and maintaining positive company morale. I remain excited in bringing this vibrance with me in this next chapter. I’m grateful for your time and consideration in reviewing my resume and spending time discussing how I can be an asset to your team, a contributor to your projects, or an ally in a role within your network. Thank you.
