Caleb Mulvena is a Principal and Co-founder of NYC-based design and architecture agency, Mapos. Recognized as a leader in sustainable architecture, Mapos creates interactive design processes that integrate community sustainability, effective technologies, and building systems. Established and emerging clients include Coca-Cola, Nike, Fila, Asics, Icebreaker, MTV, Samsung, LivePerson, Fresh, Icebreaker, ?WhatIf!, the New York Stock Exchange, and Green Depot, who’s flagship store in New York City was the first retail project in New York State (and second in the country) to achieve a LEED Platinum rating.
As the former senior designer at Peter Marino + Associates Architects, Caleb has participated in a remarkably broad range of project types before leaving to create Mapos LLC in 2008. Along with significant retail design experience creating flagships in Milan, Paris, and New York, he has developed everything from sports stadiums to yacht clubs to custom homes. He has lead the development of new brand concepts and managed successful architectural projects for Louis Vuitton, Zegna, The Sundance Institute, Chicago Bears Organization, The Aga Khan, and the Four Seasons, among many others, all of which have been widely published.
Caleb has degrees in architecture from Cornell University, where he was the recipient of the Downing Prize and the NY Society of Architects Del Gaudio Award, and Syracuse University, where he was a Syracuse Fellow and an SOM travelling fellowship finalist. He is NCARB certified and a registered architect in the State of New York.
