About

Architect with eight (10) years postgraduate experience in Greece and Qatar. Design development and documentation of projects in the Major Events fields. Experience cultivated includes collaboration with professional colleagues within a team environment to successfully deliver design documentation (architectural drawings, specifications, finishes schedules and presentation boards), for submission to clients, authorities and contractor teams. Responsibilities included preparation and coordination of documentation packages, tender packages, attendance at design meetings, site inspection and liaison with material suppliers.

Driven by a passion in the art world, educational development includes the undertaking of a master’s course on museum studies. The combination of art and architecture and how the two can be combined to achieve the successful museum is of major interest. Museum architecture and the spaces created within are powerful communicating media that can evoke emotional responses and shape the message the museum communicates. Understanding the need of museums for successful collections management and effective curatorship that stimulates the visitor can lead to active engagement of the museum professional with an eye to continuous improvement.

Engagement on a volunteering basis in the museum field include the participation in the spatial arrangement, development of the exhibitions narrative and engagement with the artists for the realization of 4 exhibition projects at the Museum of Art, Architecture and Urban Studies (Contemporary Space Athens), Athens, Greece.

Asian and specifically Chinese culture is of major interest:  Chinese language studies in Greece but also in two Universities in Beijing, China; Chinese calligraphy learning by the calligraphy master Niu; Beijing Opera Masks drawing lessons in the National School of Drama in Beijing; Japanese language learning (ongoing).

Artistic practice includes acrylic painting on canvas.
